Frontline Managed Services acquired KL Software Technologies and its affiliate KLoBot in an all-undisclosed deal announced October 6, 2026. The acquisition folds KL Software’s engineering and AI expertise into a new unit called Frontline Intelligent Applications, which combines strategic advisory, professional services, managed services, and connected legal applications.
The new unit spans four areas: Microsoft ecosystem and document management strategy; implementation of Microsoft 365, Azure, iManage, and Copilot; ongoing platform management; and KL Software’s proprietary tools including KLapper, Legal101, netDocShare, and imDocShare.
KL Software founder Ragav Jagannathan will lead the portfolio as head of product strategy, engineering, and software delivery, bringing 25 years of SharePoint experience from over 300 implementations for Am Law 100 firms and Fortune 100 legal departments. Frontline CEO Tim Britt stated the combined knowledge and AI expertise enables an opportunity to “do something much bigger than simply add new technology capabilities.”
Law firms using Frontline’s business and IT managed services will now have access to integrated advisory, engineering, and managed services under one roof, expanding the vendor relationship.
The deal reflects a wider push by legal service providers to consolidate advisory, engineering, and managed services into single offerings, driven by growing pressure on law firms to put AI and automation inside their existing tools.
Ragav Jagannathan’s product strategy decisions will determine which third-party tools the new unit adopts or replaces, creating immediate vendor evaluation cycles for Microsoft Cloud AI, iManage integrations, and legal automation solutions. Law firm IT buyers may face a more consolidated vendor landscape as Frontline moves from support provider to strategic technology partner, potentially accelerating vendor consolidation timelines.
