SAP has agreed to acquire TechWolf, a Belgian AI startup that builds a continuously updated model of a company's workforce from existing HR and business systems. The acquisition is expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
TechWolf's platform maps job tasks, employee skills, and external labor market data, helping companies decide where to hire, retrain, or move staff. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
TechWolf's existing customers—including HSBC, GSK, Ericsson, AMD, PayPal, and Booking.com—will continue using the platform, which remains open to non-SAP users. SAP plans to integrate the technology into its SuccessFactors HR software and Joule AI assistant.
TechWolf will operate as an independent unit under CEO Andreas De Neve, based in Ghent, with offices in London, New York, and San Francisco.
SAP's acquisition extends a year of aggressive AI buying. In March, it acquired Reltio, and in May it added Dremio and Prior Labs, committing over €1bn to Prior Labs alone.
This move signals SAP's intent to dominate AI-driven workforce planning. For SDRs and revenue teams:
Watch for regulatory approval and the close in Q4 2026. Monitor how SAP integrates TechWolf into SuccessFactors and Joule, and whether TechWolf's open platform remains truly independent.
Also track SAP's continued M&A appetite in AI—it already spent over €1bn on Prior Labs this year, indicating more deals may follow.
