Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT), a global capital markets technology provider owned by Thoma Bravo and 7RIDGE, acquired TRAFiX LLC on September 30, 2026. TRAFiX is a leading provider of equities and equity options order and execution management systems (OEMS) and FIX connectivity solutions. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition closed on the same day as the announcement.
TT serves Tier 1 banks, brokerages, money managers, hedge funds, and other trading firms. TRAFiX brings over 200 customers and connectivity to more than 100 trading venues. The combined platform will serve buy-side and sell-side customers, replacing fragmented legacy vendor stacks with a unified, cloud-native trading architecture. The deal also involves financial advisors Houlihan Lokey, Marks Baughan, Willkie Farr & Gallagher (for TRAFiX), and Berenson & Company, Goodwin Procter (for TT).
Integration of TRAFiX's OEMS into TT's cloud-native platform will be critical. Customers may need onboarding support and change-management services during the consolidation. The deal signals TT's intent to become a dominant multi-asset trading platform, potentially leading to further acquisitions in adjacent asset classes or geographies. Sales reps should monitor for new product bundles and compliance tooling needs as the combined platform rolls out.
