Iambic Therapeutics, an AI-driven drug discovery company, priced its initial public offering at $16 per share, selling roughly 9.4 million shares to raise $150 million. The company began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol IAM on Thursday, following its Wednesday pricing announcement.
Iambic had previously raised $462 million from private investors since its 2019 launch. Its backers include Nexus, Catalio Capital Management, Abingworth, and Illumina Ventures.
The IPO affects Iambic's partners across the biopharma landscape, including Takeda Pharmaceutical, AbbVie, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, and Revolution Medicines. These companies have existing collaborations or interest in Iambic's AI-based drug discovery platform.
The company's pipeline includes IAM1363, a targeted therapy for HER2-positive solid tumors currently in Phase 1 testing, with a registrational trial possible as early as 2027. Additional candidates IAM217 and a CDK2/CDK4-targeting program are expected to enter clinical testing next year.
Iambic's listing is part of a broader wave of AI biotech IPOs in 2026. According to BioPharma Dive, 25 biotechs have priced IPOs so far this year, far outpacing 2025's total.
Watch for Iambic's next pipeline milestones, especially the progression of IAM1363 into a registrational trial and the entry of IAM217 into clinical testing in 2025. Also monitor whether the company expands its existing partnerships with large pharma and biotech collaborators.
