Iambic Therapeutics filed SEC paperwork for an IPO targeting $135 million in net proceeds, offering 9.4 million shares priced between $15 and $17. The San Diego-based AI biotech expects to spend the majority on clinical development of its lead oncology assets.
Specifically, Iambic allocated $75 million to advance IAM1363, a HER2 inhibitor in phase 1, into phase 2 and 3 studies. Another $15 million will move IAM217 into the clinic, and $15 million will fund a phase 1 trial of IAM-C1. An additional $20 million is earmarked for its AI platform, including model training for Enchant and NeuralPLexer.
Iambic Therapeutics currently has 171 full-time employees and is scaling its operations across drug development and AI platform expansion. The IPO proceeds, combined with $207.9 million in existing cash, are expected to fund plans through 2028.
The company’s partners include Takeda, AbbVie, Bayer, Nvidia, Revolution Medicines, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, and Lundbeck. Takeda’s multiyear deal alone is valued at up to $1.7 billion in biobucks, indicating deep enterprise relationships that require robust infrastructure and compliance oversight.
This IPO adds to a strong 2026 biotech public market, following large listings from Parabilis Medicines and Kailera Therapeutics. The company is positioned as a leading AI-native biotech, making it a notable target for vendors selling into the drug development ecosystem.
Watch the valuation and pricing when Iambic sets its final IPO range, as well as the extent of underwriter option exercise, which could boost net proceeds to $155.9 million. Track near-term hiring and platform vendor decisions tied to the $20 million AI budget.
Also monitor whether the company expands its Takeda, AbbVie, and Bayer collaborations, as deeper partnerships would increase the need for integrated data and project management tools. Sales reps should identify IT, clinical operations, and platform leadership at Iambic before the public listing generates inbound noise.
