Hologic is acquiring Reveal Genomics, a Spain-based precision oncology diagnostics company. Reveal develops advanced genomic tests for personalized cancer treatment, including HER2DX, a test designed to improve therapy choices for HER2-positive breast cancer patients.
The transaction comes a year after Hologic was acquired by Blackstone and TPG in a deal valued at more than $18.3 billion. Financial terms of the Reveal Genomics acquisition were not disclosed.
Hologic's Diagnostic Solutions business will absorb Reveal's portfolio, combining HER2DX with Hologic's existing Breast Cancer Index genomic assay. The
