The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) approved a €46M loan to Elektroprenos-Elektroprijenos BiH Banja Luka (TransCo) to modernize Bosnia and Herzegovina’s power transmission network. The funds will be used to install four variable shunt reactors at strategic substations, improving grid reliability and enabling renewable energy integration.
