Acture Solutions acquired Digital Back Office, a Connecticut-based managed services and internet service provider, in a deal that closed in Q2 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Digital Back Office serves K-12 school districts, municipalities, and commercial customers with managed WAN, broadband, cybersecurity, network design, monitoring, IT support, hosted voice, and colocation. Acture plans to combine those capabilities with its managed IT and 24-hour cybersecurity monitoring and response platform.
Digital Back Office customers gain access to Acture's broader managed IT, cloud, infrastructure, and collaboration services. Acture customers gain expanded network connectivity and internet access capabilities.
The acquisition also affects Acture's integration team and partners, as the company absorbs Digital Back Office's long-tenured customer relationships in education and local government across Connecticut and the Northeast.
The deal strengthens Acture's position in regulated industries including schools, healthcare providers, financial institutions, and nonprofits. It follows Acture's strategic growth financing from Stonepeak Credit and its earlier 2026 acquisition of Artilus.
Watch how Acture integrates Digital Back Office's workforce and whether CEO Ron Richtarich and President Francisco Palacio retain executive roles. Integration details, including revenue, employee count, and customer base, were not disclosed.
Expect further M&A as Acture continues its strategy of building a premier managed services platform for highly regulated end markets.
