Nomios, the Keensight Capital-backed pan-European cybersecurity services group, completed the acquisition of Orbcom in September 2026. Orbcom is a 24-year-old Portuguese cybersecurity specialist generating approximately €15 million in annual revenue with 80 professionals. The company holds Diamond Innovator Partner status within the Palo Alto Networks NextWave Partner Program, the highest certification available in Portugal, along with product specializations in PRISMA SASE, Cortex XDR, Cortex XSOAR, and firewalls, and key partnerships with Netskope, Arista, and Infoblox. Founder and CEO Hélder Costa will continue as Portugal MD, with Costa and select management team members becoming shareholders of Nomios Group.
Orbcom's more than 250 clients across retail, automotive, energy, healthcare, and education sectors now have access to Nomios's broader pan-European service portfolio. Vendor partners—Palo Alto Networks, Netskope, Arista, and Infoblox—gain a larger, more capable partner with deeper certifications and a wider geographic footprint. Competing MSPs in Portugal face a stronger rival with immediate scale, certified engineering talent, and established client relationships that would take years to replicate organically.
The Portuguese cybersecurity segment covering network security, SASE, XDR, and PAM is estimated to grow at double-digit annual rates, aligning with the global cybersecurity market's projected 11.6% CAGR from $194,944M in 2024 to $337,758M in 2029. Demand signals reinforce the outlook: 47.6% of network security decision-makers expect a modest budget increase of 5-15% over the next 12 months, and 47.8% of overall cybersecurity decision-makers anticipate similar budget growth. Orbcom's positioning in SASE, XDR, and network security places Nomios in the highest-velocity spending categories.
