Lexroom, the Italian legal AI company that raised a $50M Series B this summer, has acquired French legal tech startup Query Juriste and Bulgarian Praven Intelekt in its first-ever inorganic deals. The founders and teams of both companies will join Lexroom, and the Query Juriste and Praven Intelekt brands will gradually transition to the Lexroom brand.
Query Juriste brings nearly 300 customers and around 1,000 paying users, plus a legal research platform connected to over five million French and European legal documents. Praven Intelekt counts more than 900 customers and provides legal research data, drafting, and other skills. Lexroom now operates across five European markets: Italy, Germany, Spain, France, and Bulgaria.
This M&A spree is rare in EU legal tech. Only Legora (with a large cash pile) and Germany’s Noxtua have made similar moves. Lexroom’s CEO Paolo Fois stated the acquisitions are “only the beginning” and that the company is combining its technology, scale, and capital with local expertise to build a category-defining legal AI platform in Europe.
Watch for how Lexroom integrates the two acquired teams and customer bases, and whether it continues its M&A push into other EU markets. The transition of Query Juriste and Praven Intelekt brands to Lexroom may create integration needs that require third-party services.
